"Camera tracks controller for precise gameplay"
How does kinect not do that? in fact, Kinect's camera is the only camera of the three that actually tracks anything on it's own.
You weren't a member here when the PS3 launched.
I don't agree with raising the price, but they just aren't comparable services.
The article may as well be "Is buying 25 frozen pizzas a better deal now? Xbox Live more expensive..."
Agree. PS Plus doesn't offer any of the features that XBL does. XBL competes with PSN. PS Plus is an entirely different type of service.
The author has a point about existing titles, but good luck trying to convince publishers not to switch to a distribution model that deprecates used video game sales.
I doubt any publisher fully views used game sales as illegal. They'd sue someone if they thought that. They just view used game sales as threatening to their bottom line (they are) and they're trying to find ways to remove the threat (they will).

exactly what I was thinking.
edit: and if there's a shelter, why would it not be packed with zombrex? That makes no sense.
@mantisimo
They are making TV's that adjust the sweet spots based on where the people actually are using face tracking.
The Acer 110 isn't full hd. It's native at like 800X600. The 1110 is native at 720p.
There are no decent 3d projectors at 1080p for <$1000 or even $2000.
@"It can fit more data on the disc, that's why it's needed. Games aren't getting smaller and DVD is a last gen format. I guarantee you 720 will be using Blu-ray. Anyways, FF7 on DVD would of been really convenient and things like FMV scene quality and sounds would been superior. I can't even replay my copy because disc one is too scratched up so I'm stuck with disc 3. So yeah, I think it would of been a better game on 1 DVD."

@godofwar:
the coating on Blu-Ray discs can actually be put on any optical disc media. I'm kind of surprised they don't coat 360 games with it, because I can't imagine it's THAT expensive.
@morgan:
Blu-Ray does nothing for game quality. The only benefit it brings is a larger storage size, as previously mentioned. It even reads slower in the PS3 than most DVD drives. Good developers will make good games regardless of the storage medium (see: rag...
You'd be surprised. People really underestimate how much techniques are used by everyone in the industry. Killzone 2 made differed rendering popular (though a couple games before it did it), but now almost every half way decent game uses it.
It's not like everyone in the industry hates everyone else. It's a much more friendly competition than people make it out to be. Among developers anyway.
That's because they didn't use any action shots from rage. They used mostly indoor shots with relatively little going on. Almost every Killzone 3 shot has an explosion in it. We know for certain that rage has action packed gameplay, because it's been in the gameplay demos. They just chose shots that don't play to the engine's advantages.
So the way for Valve to make money off the PS3 is to give away all sorts of free stuff is the jist of this article.
cuz he wrote this article...
The double standard towards microsoft and sony pirates is hilarious in this b
No. That is not how it works. Old 3D works exactly how it works today, and I assure you that it did not look like a paper cut out. Anybody that's been to bugs life 3d or muppet 3d knows this (IE gonzo's nose coming out at you or the bees trying to sting you). What you have said is blatantly wrong. Muppet Vision 3d opened in 1991. It's tough to be a bug was in 2001. The Amazing adventures of spider man opened in 1999, and had dr. octopus' tentacles coming out at you.

@badz
you should be able to file copy over the network and not have the 4gb size limitation from removable media.
Are there any videos of anything besides the tutorial level? I want to see some late game action.
A lot of them do both. Just because they're hackers doesn't mean they don't have day jobs.

Do you mind elaborating on this:
